Hi everyone. Pat’s bro’ here. Since 2007 the Metheny Music Foundation has been offering summer studies scholarships to music students in my and Pat’s hometown of Lee’s Summit, MO. This year we’ve taken that part of the MMF’s mission to the next level by awarding our first college scholarship to a fine young classical singer who plans to major in music this fall. Good on you ’Pat’s bro’. Hope you are doing great with your playing. The need for these kind of scholarships is great. There’s so much talent out there that doesn’t get through because of resources. I was reading that even Esperanza Spalding might never have made it out of college without help. So this initiative deserves a lot of support.
