SUBJECT:	Chris Potter in Philly tonight Back to Subjects
HAMBONE Feb 22 2013 at 12:29 PM	I wasn’t sure if there were any localites to the SE Pa area who were aware, but Chris Potter’s quartet is playing at Chris’ Jazz Club, 8 and 10PM sets. Both are almost sold -out. Should be a great pair of shows. Can’t wait!

mugsy Feb 26 2013 at 4:57 PM	I caught this group at Yoshi’s in Oakland, CA Sunday. My wife wasn’t thrilled, as I was supposed to join her at an Oscars party. I don’t regret my decision for one moment! Potter was so hot, as was Grenadier and Harland. These guys just soared the entire 2 hour set. I didn’t know the piano player before, and he was also very good - but didn’t stand out the way the other three did (IMHO). If you get a chance - see this group!

HAMBONE Feb 23 2013 at 10:50 AM	Tremendous show! I knew Potter was great from the Unity Band tour, but he’s even better as a leader. He deserves all the accolades he’s getting. And his quartet with David Virelles, Larry Grenadier and Eric Harland are superb.I’d seen Larry before,but David and Eric were a pleasant surprise. Both are top-notch performers that rounded out the group perfectly. Hopefully they will stay together and tour for a while. Not to be missed if you get the chance.
