I was thinking of putting together a cd of neglected Pat tracks. You know the ones that we seldom put on samplers for mates? Things like Story for a Stranger, the Sun in Montreal, River Quay, Extradition, Au Lait. Any suggestions? Phase Dance and AYGWM need not apply! |

How about Half Life of Absolution? And I would also suggest Towards the Light from Metheny Mehldau Quartet.

Unquity Road, Unquity Road and Unquity Road. (Did I mention that I rather enjoy the tune "Unquity Road"?)

Yep, as Tom says, all of Quartet. I
think ’You’ from Speaking of Now is a
classic but perhaps it has been
neglected by some! In fact I’d say SoN
has a number of neglected classics,
sandwiched as it is between two
momentous records (Imaginary Day
and The Way Up).

discussing my favorite music with others, I feel that Pat Metheny altogether is a ’neglected classic’.

The entire PMG "Quartet" album from 1996 would qualify I think.
