Caught Enrico and his 4 Italian sidemen in Paris (Sunside/Sunset Club, 1st arrondisement) on 13 Jan playing their new CD - ’Tribe’. Went there without hearing the CD, but based on very strong reviews. Must say it was an outstanding gig, one of the best I have seen in years. If you have a chance to pick up the ECM recording please do, and if you can seen them live would turn the trick. |
