Seeing Pat in a small venue is always a treat. Set was a mix of old/new. Larry Grenadier is a beast of a bass player -- passionate, melodic, energetic -- I forgive him for the Keith Jarrett-like humming too. And Pat, like Felix the Cat, reached into his bag of tricks, all in all a solid 2-hour set with 4 encores. Like the mailman, Pat ALWAYS delivers. If you have an opportunity to see this show - GO, GO, GO!!! |
