I just received my email informing me Metheny is playing for a week in October at the Blue Note in NYC. Time for a road trip, I’m only a couple hours north.....I can’t miss this. Anyone else thinking about going? |

LindaV: I’ve used Priceline’s ’Name Your Own Price’ feature a couple times in the past year where I’ve specified a 3-star level in the Financial district for two nights. Bids of $121 and $131 were successful and both times put me in the Holiday Inn on Nassau Street. Small but very clean and convenient to a subway station. With name your own price, it’s non-refundable, so you need to be committed yet flexible. You can’t be certain what hotel will accept the bid, but I’ve never had a problem regarding it meeting the criteria (i.e., neighborhood location, quality level). Good luck!

Thanks Rob B. but I’ve tried Priceline and several other sites.....still $$$$$$$$.
Just not meant to be I guess.
If you can recommend a couple of places post it here.

Linda: Not to sound like an
advertisement, but consider
priceline.com. We stay in the
financial district just south of
the Village and usually get nice
rooms in the $125-$130 range.

Have a great trip Linda! For those of us
who can’t go,wouldn’t it be nice if Pat
would do a 6 CD set live at the Blue Note
like Jarrett did awhile back?

Have tix...depends on hotel prices.
Don’t want to pay 3 times what airfare is.
Rediculous.
