I was at the Mark Turner quartet performance last night at the Regattabar in Cambridge MA. Great show from beginning to end! Complex and intense jazz. Truly a great sax player with a distinctive voice. |

Yes, he is touring and playing pieces from his new CD. There was another drummer, not Marcus Gilmore, and I think his name was Justin Brown. The CD is great and I think he is an important artist with a unique sound and conception of harmony. Also, check out the FLY trio with Jeff Ballard and Larry Grenadier, there is nothing like it!
