Hi Pat, I've always wondered how you felt physically after playing First Circle on stage, your guitar must be quite a mess afterwards, do you have to tune it before using it again?

it's true - that guitar really gets a workout on that tune. also, that kind of "strumming" takes a certain kind of physical energy that is more like drumming than conventional guitar playing. also, sometimes i "miss" especially early on in tours, and i wind up hitting my finger against the strings instead of the pick - i can get kind of bloody, which is pretty dramatic when it happens, if a little bit gross. yes, it certainly must be retuned after that tune!
