Question: | My first encounter with your music was that recording. I can play every note in my head just thinking about it. Have you thought about playing some of that music in your future concerts? I especially like to see PMG perform (Cross) The Heartland. That's raw, intense and truly beautiful music. |
Pat’s Answer: |
honestly, i doubt that we could play that music now with the same kind of commitment we had for it at the time. i listened to that record for the first time in many years recently - it had never been my favorite - and i was struck by the "youthfullness" of it - in a good way. it was really music made by (and really, for) a bunch of early 20 year olds. for whatever level of youthful naivete that is imbedded in that music - there still were some good notes written in that batch of tunes... who knows, maybe we could try one of em next time... |
