steve swallow is one of my main inspirations - i learned so many things by playing with him, listening to his phrasing and learning his tunes. a major figure of our time. "hotel hello" is one of my very favorite records. one of my favorite swallow songs ever is "sweeping up" on that record, which is also one of my favorite gary burton solos on any of his records. |
