| Question: | I was wondering about the title of your album New Chautauqua. Where did it come from? The reason I ask is I grew up in Chautauqua Lake New York. It has a decent musical history and I was wondering if it was linked to that. |

Hi John, My great-grandfather, Mose Metheny, was in a Chautauqua troop that traveled around the Midwest and the South during the late 1800's. When I first started touring nonstop my grandfather said it reminded him of his dad's work, hence the name "New Chautauqua". |
