OOPS!, sorry about the spelling Bocelli wrong. sometimes the fingers go crazy typing especially after being on the key board too much. Thanks for the correction.

I’d like to hear Pat on the synth guitar with Jeff Beck’s current band. That would be worth the price of admission.

The name is Bocelli and I can’t understand how or why Pat would want to perform with him, as they’re completely, utterly different. Pat might as well perform in an opera. Coming to think of that: if that would be an opera by Philip Glass or John Adams, that might be really cool.

I know this is not in line with the question being posed, but, how about someone like Andrea Bochelli? I think this could be a great work if the right songs were chosen. Maybe?

Franksexton, I believe that was a
performance at Live Aid. I remember
them performing there together.

there is a uTube out there of Pat playing his synth with a Carlos Santana all-stor band. Hoestly,I thought he was out of place there with what the others were doing. I would like see him in a trio with Tony Levin and Terry Bozio (maybe add David Torn to make it a quartet). Something where he could play like on Zero Tolerance. Something Progressive, for sure.

Add him to the front line of Jan
Akkerman and Focus... Medieval
madrigals ...20 minute
Eruptions...and a new take on
Hocus Pocus. Then Cathedrale de
Strasburg and a Hamburger
Concerto.

PM’s level of versatility would fit any
band. Steely Dan would be fun even
though Jon Herrington is quiite
formidable.

Anyone think if Zappa were still alive his band would be a good fit for PM to play in? Think about some of the great musicians that have played with him. One that comes immediately to mind is Jean-Luc Ponty.

Although Pat is one of the most
versatile musicians ou there, I can’t
imagine him somehow playing in a
rockband. Maybe some folkish band
like Fleetfoxes and maybe some
worldmusic band, but apart from that
I can’t figure it. Certainly no progrock
or hardrock band.

Pat would do just great with any prog rock band, like Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Camel etc. But amongst rock`n roll bands, he should go with Zep. (...though they don`t consider themselves a rock`n roll band....)
