Hi all. Been a while since I posted here (formerly bxl12378). Saw Pat last Friday. 2.5 hours of top music. Spiritual. Was somewhere the 20th time I saw him live since the end of the 80s. Contrary to his habit he talked a lot, explaining about background and music. Was fun. Played about 10 different guitars. All kinds of styles with an emphasis on the calmer, subdued music. And then 2 days later an absolute legend: Robert Plant with his current project Saving Grace. What an evening! What a musical weekend! I will never be able to top this. Be well! |

Indeed my great friend in all things great music, Bxl12379, contacted me immediately after him seeing Pat in
Brussels...and told me unequivocally to go see Pat solo. I happened to be over to north area of Lake Geneva area
of Switzerland, where I have a foothold. After Brussels, Pat was playing Zurich one night, then down to Geneva for
the 28 Oct...I had not planned to see him as I was booked up with gigs to see in Lausanne during the JazzOnze+
Festival...including Avishai Cohen Trio (with Roni Kaspi on the kit), and Roni Kaspi Trio another night with her
electric outfit, and other gigs....The Solo gig in Geneva was indeed spiritual as a long time follower of Pat...since
1977...this Solo tour and what Pat did for the 2.5 hours with 3 encores will be forever etched in my mind...much
like the Secret Story Tour and that amazing gig in Zurich...or....The Way Up at the London Hammersmith
Odeon...or...Side Eye Project July 2023 at Jazz a Vienne... the Pat gig list...simply no words....wonderful
