As most of you know, this was his very early ECM album in 1978, and I love the music, especially ’Hermitage’. Well, had no clue what the title came from until now. It was a huge and broadly designed educationalmovement in the late 1990s and up until 1960. .. basically destroyed by modern media. It was initiated in upstate NY. .. not too far where I greew up .... hence my curiosity . Teddy Roosevelt said it was a huge cultural blessing for America. ... cultivated major music trends. |
