Question:

I've read that when people tell you how great the album version of AYGWM? is, you refer them to the "Travels" version (I suspect because you feel that you played a better solo on that version). My question is: Can you recall specific live solos/versions of songs that you have played over the years that stick out in your mind as "the best" of that particular tune you have played (not necessarily that were being recorded for an album, but any during any live performance)? Or have you simply played too many shows over your career to possibly remember how you played any individual tunes? By the way, the shows at Yoshi's were AWESOME!!!

Pat’s Answer:

yeah, there are just too many nights to remember - think about it, i have been touring now for 25 years and have probably averaged out at around 150 gigs a year over that time.... somewhere in there i must have played each tune pretty good at least once!!!!!! thanks for coming to yoshi's - that was such a fun tour!!!
