RIP Clark Terry (1920-2015)

He was a tremendous influence on many generations of musicians, including Pat Metheny. Pat was able to play on several different occasions with Clark around Kansas City during his teenage years and counted Clark as an important mentor and a major inspiration. Clark was one of the most truly beloved figures in this music and will be missed by everyone. Here is a picture of Pat and Clark from after a concert in 1971
