I just got antonio’s new record "New Life" and it’s really amazing. Everybody knows he can play the drums but I was really impressed with his writing. It’s beautifully orchestrated and you can hear the influence Metheny has had on him on the subtleties of the music. My review written and to be published at AAJ very soon. Will post when it is, but in a word: tremendous; in a couple: a huge step forward as a leader over his previous two records.
