So many tangents to talk about. Two Off the top: What if youtube wold’ve existed during these times and why did "Jazz" decide to play the music in museums to a bunch of statues 3 odd decades ago?

Bookmark and Share Is this thread like the Tap thread? Is this yet another cryptic intro to a future Pat project down the road?Perhaps "Pat Plays the Louvre" or something like that? Just wondering.Hey if it is,I’d be thrilled about that too!

Bookmark and Share Hi thehague...I have not been able to finish it either...I am stuck on the first pages.Part 2, smoky jazz romms...The back rooms of jazz have all but disappeared..in Boston it was Jaki Byard’s big band every Monday night at Michaels Pub, Mike Stern said if he played out enough they would name a place after him...Pooh’s Pub, Lulu Whites, Jazz Workshop. Paul’s Mall, Jonathan Swift’s in Cambridge are all gone...Scullers and Regattabar are the lone survivors.

Bookmark and Share Predominantly "jazz" refers to the decision makers museums to the venues where the music is played and statues to the audience. The cluelessness of otherwise sophistacated jazz listeners always ceases to amaze me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhfyJd7M9Yw

Bookmark and Share Is ’jazz’ a person then, who decided to play to statues? Some people here seem to understand this. I’m definitely in the ’not understanding’ camp.

Bookmark and Share "saran"-I did hear P.M. on A.M. with Tom Snyder back in 92 talking about the release of "Secret Story".While it is true that Youtube did not exist 3 decades ago, museums are great places to hear concerts and the statues add ambience.
