Bookmark and Share I have seen many lists printed in the Boston area and posted online that show so much popular fodder that these selections and the above list reaffirms that there are folks with the depth and comprehension to enjoy these longer, thought provoking works. When the Pat Metheny Group put out The Way Up, I was pleased that he addressed the issue. Now I have a profound concern for the lack of attention span and patience in the present state of sound. I guess I truly have crossed that curmudgeon state of being.

Bookmark and Share Great choice, shivering goat...it was on my short list and missed being on it by a hair....it is, indeed a great record, got to see the group in Germany back in late October/early November, though with a great Italian trumpeter, Luca Aquino, in place of Nils Petter Molvær and Mike O’Gorman subbing on keys.
