Terrific news for Blue Nile fans: Paul Buchanan has released a solo album called ’Mid Air’. Haven’t heard it yet but have high hopes. BN and PB seldomry record but when they do it’s fab. |

Well, what can I say upon first listening? Blue Nile was kind of introvert and bare, but it appears PB’s solo songs are even more introvert and bare. I will listen again, but it’s clear to me already this is some kind of a disappointment after all these years. I’d wish he’d have done something like "Tinseltown" just to come up with something more varied. Weeh, "Hats" is indeed still great after all these years. This album however is not bad, not very good either.

thanks for the heads up The Hague, this is indeed very good news. Just last wednesday I played Hats back to back. After all those years (22, 23?) it still sounds fresh to me.
