This new John Abercrombie on ECM was only only released in the US as an Import. What a shame it costs $38,98. Yikes!Listened a track off this on ECM.com and it sounds beautiful. This is a quartet CD featuring Joe Lovano. Any of our European friends listen to this yet. I think it just came out the beginning of April. Now why would ECM just release this as an Import? Sign of the times in the States? Maybe I can find it cheaper as a download. |

Maybe you could order via ECM’s website. Once in a while they have good special offersIf those are interesting for you, it would bring down the shipping fee maybe.
TAxes might be aproblem though. I don’t know.
You could also try AMazon and use standard shipping, to avoid extraordinary scandalous taxing.
warm regards,
Michaèl
JoeLovano is just grand. I met him in Amsterdam. He is such a warm generous person.
I look forward to listening to this album.

FYI, ecm has a music player for many of there albums. For this album it plays the entire first track, which I thought was superb ! Joe Lovano has really stepped up his playing in recent years.

Tom, I’ve had a chance to listen to this new album. It’s really straight ahead jazz, very very good. Joe Lovano is really terrific as is Abercrombie and the rest of the band. It isn’t your typical ECM release in that regard.

Amazon.com is showing a May 22nd release date. I assume that’s for the U.S.
