Just learned that the Pat Martino Organ Trio is at Scullers in Cambridge MA Jan 2!st. I have never seen Pat, and always wanted to. Kind of bummed because I have a gig that night. So I’ll just throw a heads up all the rest of you Boston area folks. Don’t miss this. Pat M does not come around to often. |

Just checked it’s: Pat Martino Trio with Pat Bianchi (B3), Carmen Intorre (drums)
Not familiar with those other 2 musicians, nevertheless I am sure it will be a great show.

If Tony Monaco is his organ player...........the man is possessed.....killer stuff....saw em at the Portland Jazz Festival a few years back at the Crystal Ballroom.......again, Monaco makes the trio.

Great clip Roll Tide. Not every day can you find a guitarist that can intimidate George Benson !

Here’s a great youtube snippet of George Benson talking about the first time he saw Martino play.

Seeing Pat Martino live is like seeing the Second Coming. The man is a master and I cannot believe anybody can really be that good at what they do. He is though.

Shame you can’t make the show, Tom. He plays often here in the Philly area and I’ve seen him 3 times now. He always puts on a great show. The upcoming Reading Pa Jazzfest is having a Pat Martino show honoring him with some special guests. I’m looking forward to that one.
