Either way, patsfan. One is derivative of the other; I forget which way. Wikipedia says: "The word derives from the Venetian phrase s-ciào vostro or s-ciào su literally meaning ’I am your slave.’" So if your last comment is accurate, kind of figures. BTW, João’s daughter, Bebel, is a great singer. I adore her first album. Later ones are very good as well.

Or. ... Caio, Gilberto ... you were legendary if not under the radar in the Western
world. Jobim may have taken the spotlight but Gilberto was equally the
essence of Brazillian music,, Apparently lived his later years in near poverty
and fighting lawsuits and the government,,
