hi: in this day & age of personal devices & apps etc, I know it’s very "old school" to browse an airline’s music selection but I was delighted to notice a couple of months ago the Singapore Airlines has The Road to You Album on its playlist and it got me wondering whether any other airlines are also "on board" with Pat?

Bookmark and Share Hey Patsfan, I totally hear you! I was visiting a friend in the early 80’s and he had 80/81 playing...and I was hooked! I went out and bought just about every disc I could find at the time. Now, I listen to a lot of music but probably 80percent or more are Metheny or Metheny related tunes. I don’t know why he isn’t more popular in the general public, although I think in the general public, less people are open to jazz and the like.

Bookmark and Share I saw Pat Metheny and his fantastic group at the Strathmore Music Center in North Bethesda, Maryland and it was a wonderful show. Pat played so many of his best songs and it was really great to listen to Pat and his new Group playing his music. It was such a joyful time - what an incredibly gifted musician!

Bookmark and Share That brings up my eternal question, Mugsy. why aren’t more people appreciative of Pat’s music? I know a very few. It was like once I heard his music I was a convert. But I don’t think it works that way in the general populace. Is it like getting a Republican to become a Democrat ... almost impossible ? I know, in the world there are millions of Pat fans....out of billions though. What.better music for airline travel than ’The Road to You’

Bookmark and Share I remember a few years ago, on a cross country flight to NY, United had Secret Story on their music list. Even though I listen to Pat all the time, and always have a substantial collection on my phone, I was still delighted to see him listed. Hopefully more people who aren’t familiar with him (God, is that even possible?) will dig the samples and become a fan...
