With great sadness I learned that our Toots Thielemans passed away this morning at the blessed age of 94 years old. ALWAYS and forever. .. |

@bxl12378, Thanks for your kind words. I come here seldomly these days. I felt I had to write something this time. Toots was such a great musician and human being. I hope you’ll be able to attend his funeral. It will be crowded, no doubt. Many admired and loved him. Wishing you all the best.

There’s a youtube video of Toots and Jaco doing 3 Views of A Secret from 85. Never knew Jaco was a good piano player too!

I loved Toots’s work with Jaco on Word of Mouth. Really emotional when listening to 3 Views of A Secret again.

The Hague, I am so glad to hear from you again! I know you said goodbye some time ago so I appreciate
how Toots ’passing must have affected you in such a way that you are posting again. And how about
Murphy’ s law.... am in The Hague as we speak..
I met Toots several times, he was the nicest guy ever . I think I might attend his funeral on Saturday,
because it feels like losing a relative...sounds crazy may be but that’s how I feel...take care!

I shed a little tear yesterday. Such a lovely lovely man. And a fabulous musician.

Toots was a great player who graced a lot of the music I’ve listened to over the years. His sweet song will be missed.
