Got the new companion record for Father’s Day - can’t wait to hear the whole thing. true love from my family. had a new appreciation for the title, spinning One Quiet Night to get my infant son back to sleep after the thunderstorm that woke him had finally passed. Ah, the soothing sounds of Pat Metheny. Magic. from generation to generation |

I would certainly buy more of thsi type of stuff . I’m glad the Vinyl option is being offered once again , Day trip/Tokyo & Orchestrion have been such nice vinyl pressings . also hoping Pat ventures in to Blu-ray audio at some point . |

Well folks are already crying over the new acoustic record based on one digital download so hopefully it will continue the vibe found on One Quiet Night. I wish Metheny would do more records like this and offer them online only. Folks would buy them, I sure would. |

Yes, that could be me, walking the rails in search of the next concert venue. Wonder if the the tour is songs from the new cd or from the songbook. |

METHenyaddicted, do you have some special power or what? Good aspect has the new record. And as usually nice cover. |

Muggsy, Pat doesn’t do any king of stimulant to my reading of Q&A. So no coffee for PM. What a player! Can’t imagine the discipline he has had over his life. Remarkable. That is his legacy. |

Walking at dusk through a windy woods or riding all night on the bus - OQN can’t be beat. More solo guitar cds would be welcome. |

I remember a few complaints here when this album was first released; too much reverb effect, not enough of a natural room sound, etc etc. I always thought it sounded remarkable and very intimate, not the mention the incredible playing. |

So true bxl12378...And that album has such incredible production values. It sounds like he is right in the room with you. How he recorded that in his apartment is beyond me. I wonder how much post production was on that. Does that guitar really sound that good? What a master he is. |

You want a zen-moment? Try late at night with all the lights out and nobody around.Best way to beat stress. |

you’re probably right. doesn’t that just kill you - he can crank out such a fantastic recording in one mere night. |

If I remember correctly, Pat said that he spent the whole night recording this beautiful CD in his home studio. Perhaps when he was done, he too listened to it over a morning cup of joe. |

You know, Toneman, you’re right. When the CD first came out, that was always when I listened to it - very early in the morning, with my coffee, still waking up. |
